ASAP Mourns the Loss of Sergio Poggione
It is with tremendous sadness that we have lost our dear friend and colleague Sergio Poggione. Sergio passed away on June 30, 2011, leaving behind his two daughters Christine and Tania, and Marie Boulay, mother of his two daughters.
Until recently Sergio served as president of the Canadian Access and Privacy Association (CAPA). ASAP seeded funding for CAPA's birth over 20 years ago and the two associations have had a committed bond ever since. The CAPA president typically attends one or two of the ASAP programs and the ASAP president attends CAPA's annual conference. Sergio was a driving force behind CAPA and its annual conferences as well maintaining the ASAP connection. Through this connection, many ASAP staff, members and past presidents became fast friends with Sergio.
Please visit the Sergio's memorial guest book and leave your note of condolence. In memoriam donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation are appreciated.
Our dear friend will be sorely missed.
