Sponsorship

Thanks to so many of you for your past support and commitment to the access community. We have two sponsorship opportunities for you in 2020.

WHAT: ASAP 13th Annual National Training Conference (NTC)

WHEN:  May 18-20, 2020  Please note that we moved up the dates from July.

WHERE: Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel, located at 2800 South Potomac Avenue, Arlington, Virginia 22202, Tele: 703-413-1300. Hotel website: https://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/waspy-renaissance-arlington-capital-view-hotel/?scid=bb1a189a-fec3-4d19-a255-54ba596febe2

The NTC is a three-day event that attracts new and advanced-level government information specialists, as well as some requesters.  We expect an attendance of 400 people, with about 97 percent coming from federal government agencies, and a handful from state/local governments.

In ASAP, we keep things simple, and hold down costs as much as possible.  Hence, we use a table and chair set up as opposed to booths. Sponsors line the pre-function area, which is also where the food functions are. Attendees will voluntarily come by for product demos and information. It is normal for ASAP to have four to seven sponsors for this event.

For the NTC sponsorship package and registration form, please click here.

We also suggest that you visit the NTC site and read the general information brochure which contains airport and hotel information. ASAP is holding a block of rooms at the government per diem rate of $256, plus applicable tax.

Once you register for sponsorship, additional details will be sent.

WHAT: FOIA-Privacy Act Training Workshop

WHEN: September 9-11, 2020

WHERE: InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza, 401 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, Missouri O 64112  Tel.: (816) 756-1500; Fax: (816) 756-1635. Hotel Website: https://www.ihg.com/intercontinental/hotels/us/en/kansas-city/mkcha/hoteldetail?cm_mmc=GoogleMaps-_-IC-_-US-_-MKCHA

Kansas City, here we come!

We are excited to hold our FOIA-Privacy Act Workshop in this brand-new location for ASAP. The Workshop is a 2.5-day training course (ending at noon on Friday, September 11). Although this a new location, we still expect an attendance of about 130 people, with almost all attendees coming from the federal government agencies. The Workshop attendance will be capped at 150 people.  It is normal for ASAP to have one – two sponsors for this event. Keep in mind, we were very limited by space when the program was held in Chicago. We have more space for sponsors at the InterContinental.

In 2019, we expanded the educational sessions to include more advanced content.  Hence, the program now draws more seasoned professionals in addition to the novice government information specialist or the infrequent users.

With a lower attendance, sponsorship package rates are reflective. Like the NTC, we keep things simple and as cost-effective as possible. We use a table/chair format, and attendees can voluntarily come by for product/services information and demos. One difference is that we have group luncheons on September 9 and 10.

We also suggest that you visit the Workshop site and read the general information brochure which contains airport and hotel information. ASAP is holding a block of rooms at the government per diem rate of $124 per night, plus application taxes and fees.

Once you register for sponsorship, additional details will be sent.

Remember, you may use the NTC or the Workshop venues to invite your own current or prospective clients in the local areas to come to the hotel(s) and meet with you. Of course, they cannot attend the sessions or avail themselves of the food functions, but it can be a perfect opportunity for you to make the most of your time and location.

Thank You!

ASAP has enjoyed a long and very valued relationship with many of you. We appreciate your support, time and efforts. We understand that ASAP is different. Even though we are a non-profit organization, we are very sensitive to the rules and regulations that our federal government attendees must adhere to. Hence, opportunities are limited for you as we ensure that any sponsor/vendor communications are completely voluntary for the attendees, and we are careful about the real or perceived appearance of any gift giving. Rest assured, our training evaluations continue to bear out that many of the registrants appreciate the exposure to your products and services.
